Throughout the 20th century, the City of Stockholm has purchased so-called loose art that has been deposited in the schools.
The art collection also consists of real estate-bound art, which has been ordered for a special school in connection with new construction in accordance with the so-called one percent rule.
For new buildings and major renovations and extensions, we set aside one percent of the rent-based production cost for artistic decoration.
The art in Stockholms schools and preschools has many times been recognized and rewarded with awards.
